“There are the truths which belong to the future, truths which belong to the past, and truths which belong to no time.”
“The Persistence of Forgetting,” by Jeremy Newman, is a film put together from different videos from the past an present. The sound tracks that go along with the video are swell as well. The film represents the shift in hollywood after the creation of the video camera, but there is more to it than just that. You actually are seeing thew the eyes of the protagonist as they shift from subconscious to conscious awareness. Also the video represents the social impact of the Hollywood Studio system and how it affects peoples lives. All together it is a wonderful short and I recommend that anyone should watch it.
